Gidday road-trippers,

The year is spinning by, daylight savings is over and summer done and dusted and with the cold weather creeping in down south, it might be just the time to start planning a cheeky trip up north!

We’ve just come off the back of a cracking weekend at the Albury Wodonga Caravan, Camping, 4WD, Fish & Boat Show where all of our incredible vans, hybrids, boats and outboards were on display and where (drum roll!) we launched Boss Aluminium.  We’re pleased as punch to be able to offer the unique outdoor experiences that Boss Aluminium products provide. We had a terrific response, especially from the punters who prefer to travel with less and those wanting to explore locations that are tricky/and or impossible to access towing a van. If that sounds like you, make sure to check out Boss’s customised canopies and roof-top tents.

As usual we had a fantastic time meeting mobs of mad nature-loving campers and swapping on-the-road stories and we’ve taken note, it seems that weekend adventures are all the rage for 2023. To help you keep those end-of-week wheels rolling we’ve located some stunning, top-rated Victorian camping sites with fishing. Click and enjoy!

Customisation was a hot topic this expo, we had a lot of queries around what is needed when fitting-out a caravan. Everybody travels differently so there’s no one-size-fits-all answer but a great starting point and a good way to figure out what sort of road-tripper you are is to ask yourself the following questions:

Where do I want to travel to?

How long will I be travelling for?

How often do I plan on travelling?

Who will I be travelling with?

What is my budget?

There’s a heap to consider but that’s half the fun! If it seems overwhelming, don’t worry, we’re always available to help and this is what we love to do. Nothing gives the team at Wangaratta Caravan and Marine more satisfaction than working with an owner to ensure that their van perfectly matches their requirements. Extra support, tips and banter can be found on the Wangaratta Caravans & Marine Owners Group on Facebook, so make sure to join.

A final thanks to all who stopped by for a chat over the weekend, we value your feedback, support and passion for all things outdoor.

Dad joke of the month:

Q.  Did you hear about the two baked beans that hitchhiked around Australia?

A.  They ended up in Cairns.
